CCBill stats - does this look strange to you?

I thought I show you some funny (NOT!) stats from my CCBill sites on two successive days in June. Same traffic, more or less same amount of visitors, same sites promoted. Does this look right to you?

Dalai lama 07-10-2005 03:41 AM

Talk to your sponsor about it, looks strange indeed

maxxxxx 07-10-2005 03:43 AM

It's a variety of sponsors, so the problem must rather be on CCBill's side.

Corleone 07-10-2005 03:45 AM

hmm 0:13000
1: 792 the other day

weird

Gottis 07-10-2005 04:20 AM

That happens every now and then, ain't nothing you can do sorry

chadglni 07-10-2005 04:25 AM

Welcome to the world of the scrub that doesn't exist. CCBill and the webmasters that use them are awesome at denying the fact. So much so that I would believe it if someone told me the programs still get credited for signups, just not tracked to an affiliate.

I'm starting to believe this myself. Yes, it's normal that there are differences from day to day but on CCBill they seem a bit too extreme. I also have the feeling that the number of credit cards that are getting refused is extremely high on some days and less so on others.

bigdog 07-10-2005 07:51 AM

If epoch has some killer stats, they could take over a lot of smaller paysites that just stick to ccbil because of their stats.

Furious_Male 07-10-2005 08:22 AM

I noticed issues around the same time frame. Early last week as well. It comes in spurts. They obviously tighten the screws during those times or have sales post back issues.

Bansheelinks 07-10-2005 08:29 AM

they have projections and quotas to stay under, and algorithms that run everything...........if asked, of course they deny, deny, deny

but give me a break.........if they didn't, they'd lose their merchant account or incur draconian fines. just watch your day close after you incur a CB.......watch your ratios plummet. think its a coincidence? nope.

corvette 07-10-2005 08:34 AM

unless i am mistaken, those do not look like stats directly from our admin...therefore, there may be an issue importing the data into the proprietary software you are using. My first reaction would be to compare them to what is in our admin?see if anything is amiss there

every 3rd party processor scrubs their transactions, but the process has a specific method and is completely auditable; we can look into the specific decline reason for every decline?if anybody wants to discuss form hits, submissions, scrubbing, etc...feel free to reach me anytime to talk

I thought I was the only one with strange ccbill stats from time to time ;)

My hemorrhoids have flared up again.

TheSenator 07-10-2005 09:35 AM

That is why you can't put all your eggs in one basket.

xclusive 07-10-2005 09:40 AM

Ouch that's a big difference

justsexxx 07-10-2005 09:45 AM

Some ppl call it scrubday or whatever. But what sense would it make for ccbill to deny sales, just for the fact of denying them? They don't make money themselve with denials as well.

no they don't, but they also avoid merchant account termination, and massive fines by keeping CB ratios under certain ratios. if you get a CB, simply watch your accounts ratios for the next day or so plummet to the depths. what do you think is happening? with more CB's, you fall into a certain parameter on their scrubbing system, even if you are way under the 1% safe margin.

maxxxxx 07-10-2005 12:41 PM

Hi Corvette, it's definitively not an import issue.

With that few sales, how can you tell anything? You need more sales to establish any sort of patterns.

Exactly. Shouldn't they be a few more to the right?

Do you think I'm making this up, or what? I have better things to do. This is how it looks on my computer, I don't care where you have your decimal points.

V_RocKs 07-10-2005 01:40 PM

I am having a similar problem with Nasty Dollars... and other EPOCH sponsors right now.

Apparently, yes, you DO have better things to do. Those things just don't include moving your decimal points to the right.

Of course, if you were a little sharper, you'd probably even understand that.

VeriSexy 07-10-2005 08:28 PM

Wow, looks like they hit the super shave button.........

Garou 07-11-2005 08:48 AM

and...? what was the issue?

Sosa 07-11-2005 09:02 AM

looks like a stats remote screen shot. Sometimes that happens to me with weird totals. I just restart the program and it is ok.

DutchTeenCash 07-11-2005 09:39 AM

StatsRemote uses your local settings and that's the way it's used in quite a few countries.

Examples:
$29.98 -> $29,98
16,645 -> 16.645

The numbers in StatsRemote and in his CCBill stats match.

Tom_PM 07-14-2005 07:21 AM

I hate to say this almost, but you know what? Some days suck, and other days kick ass.. and when they are one day after the other, you can have stats look like that when there is absolutely nothing wrong. It happens and it's no fun, and it makes you crazy, lol.. But it *does* happen sometimes.

Do your stats trend more towards the 15 or the 0? Somewhere in the middle?

Stuff like this is why I always try to look on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis instead of hourly or daily. Helps with the sanity, lol. :Oh crap
