How many of you use Mambo?
 

The free CMS system.

Pondering building a plugin for WireRunner, but I don't know if anyone actually uses it.

Thoughts?

ive seen it - looks better than nuke - havent installed it yet.

We use it on 5 or 6 sites, works great. The site in my sig uses it as a matter of fact.

edit - the software site, not Arika's.

I just started playing with it.. So far I'm totally impressed.

Really nice for being free.

Now, on your 5-6 sites... are any of them paysites? (since WireRunner lets paysites make mobile phone galleries).

I'm thinking of adding a "publish to mobile" type of functionality that hooks into our system.

I have just installed it on two projects I have going, and I am very happy with it..it looks clean, and is easy enough to maintain that if my hands get too full, I can hire a friend who doesn't know much about html and still not worry. :)

None of them are paysites, as Mambo isn't as secure as say CCBill or Epoch (basic .htaccess), nor are the member management abilities up to par yet unless you install some add-ons. I suppose it could be used assuming you knew enough about hacking the script to add and keep secure the content you're looking to provide.

Yeah, that's the nice thing. Once you have a handle on the backend and how to add content, it's very easy to maintain and update your sites.

Hrm.. well it doesn't sound like it's worthwhile for us to integrate with, but I'll probably use it for my blogs.
