The bottom line is that any pro in another field would have handled it differently. I would have revoked his license and refunded any funds paid. We both walk away. Last time I checked these weren't exclusive shoots. They were simply a large bulk amount of pics packaged to move fast. If that's wrong, I apologize, if they were contracted exclusive shoots then that changes things for sure.

But if it was non-exclusive content you're already monetized several times over, what difference does it make? I'd have cut a check and cut sos the fuck LOOSE if it were me. Better that than have literally thousands of views being logged by lurkers looking for content that might be swayed one way or the other.

Licenses are in place for a reason. If you abuse them, you lose them. No refund. PERIOD.

Microsoft did an audit of our licenses. When they found we were short some, we simply were asked to buy the outstanding licenses. We did that. No problem.

Odds are they would make you buy the proper licenses or would work out a deal with you to remedy the situation. People violate licenses all day and night, its up to the license holder to decide whether or not its worth fighting about.

This particular license infringement was in no way worth all of the hassle/drama it created, in my opinion. Obviously, as Aaron is the license holder, he feels differently and that is his right.
