Maybe look for a person that posts tutorials, holds contests, pushes discussions/online brainstorm sessions, and other such threads/initiatives. Of course topics should all lead back to your program ;) Minimize ethugging, clowning, etc etc.

YOU. My man. But judging from Roger's posts re exposure, he's looking primarily for MASSIVE eyeball exposure as opposed to GUIDED and CULTIVATED exposure and clicking (ie., sig promoter PLUS rep functions).

True, its mostly branding. When I bought sigs in the past, its not with expectation that people will click... its all about branding.

I know many people hate sig pushers but they are posting billboards in our industry.

Just like all the billboards on the street and banners on websites

Buy banners. People send traffic to people/programs they trust or know. Sigwhores don't do it.

When ever I read an intelligent post I always check the persons signature out and I am more inclined to do business with that person. That's someone I would be looking for.

On the other hand... It's hard NOT to miss juicys HPA's every second thread.

in my experience dealing with people, the ones who think more about eyeballs are the long term thinkers, whereas the ones who are in it for immediate clicks are the ones who need it now vs thinking long term.

just my own observation.

If you want branding.. Go with someone like Juicy, Headless or Aaron M etc.

If you want dead serious business people... Try WiredGuy, Quiet, $5 submissions etc.

Then there is always a mix of both which would be an optimal meal deal.

I agree with you. An intelligent post always gets me to look at their sig.

Juicy... I have nothing against Juicy at all, but he never, ever, ever makes a useful post. Therefore I do not take him seriously. BUT he is going to plaster your name all over this board with a huge sig. So if your going for exposure only, he may be your man.
