What do you think of this sample and which compression do you prefer?

Our new guy is a full time video editor, so hopefully we can step up video production.

Give me your coments about the editing and compressing please.

The ones we sell from the content store will not have the URL on them or the join page at the end.

honestly charly - nothing special.Few cheap tricks + poor convert technique.The problem is the way you shoot the video and the lighting you use.

The transition effects were cheesy and gave me a headache. And the text was boring. Surfers are used to "Video Clip" like trailers. That doesn't mean you have to follow that trend. But the text was so boring, I didn't want to type that long URL.

I am sure you can do better than that. You should pay a professional. It will be more profitable in the long run.

20MB 50 seconds. Doesn't look that impressive at all. Just "normal" Also why more then 3000kbits? I always thought 1500 was more then enough. Or not?

I'm not a movie expert. But you use 2000kbits. What is the main difference with 1500kbits?

what to say - its data size stream per second - means 1500 is still ok but 2K gives you sharper video and that is what you need.Its always some "give and take " decission.We prefer quality but some prefer lowest possible size.

Will need to work harder onthe converting as well. The lighting was poor though. :(

those fast camera moves are called gonzo style - that is what all perfectgonzo sites are based on - quite succesfull trend of today - anyway I don't like it neither.
You have to go and try and try and try untill you find the the best way to convert - of course depends on what you need.Or hire some proffesional for convert - it worth few bucks more.
But first you have to change the lighting as I guess you use the same lighitng or similar you used for photography right(not talking about flash).

Good clip....no harsh lighting, looks natural and soft. Color looks good too. I don't know the rules of gonzo that well, should the camera man be in the mirror on a couple of the shots. lol.....I know...everyone else stared into the pussy, but I looked for technical things as well. (on the second view of course). lol.

was just a test scene - no big deal.Btw I have signed up for all perfectgonzo paysites and there is a lot of guys in the mirror :pimp in several scenes.
I am working on larger collection shooted in this style to release on ACC - looks like people like it and lot of webmasters need it to promote PG sites

It needs more lensflare and drop shadows. Can never have enough drop shadows.

Nydahl, every 3-4 months you and post a video here raving how great and flawless it is. Nothing wrong with that.

People give you feedback and your little videos get taken apart. Of course it's always "only a test video" - not the real thing. Right.

And then the next best thing you and you buddies know to do is to rip into Perfectgonzo's sites and content... for no apparent reason. How you and your clients do "this and that" so much better and how other company's work is nothign special.

It's getting old.

Unfortunately this is just and only 1 scene I did and released in this PG style - so I am talking about this test scene always (even its not every 3-4 months) - means you are kidding bullshit
Also I think you missunderstood me (or my poor english) - PG has the best videos on the net today - I don't rip into PG style/sites/content whatever - what I want is to get on the same quality level.I don't rip in PG style - they are the icon for me.
Also I don't think I say that others companys works is nothing special - but what do you expect from me to say - "charly its great" or what - its not good stuff so why should I say it.
I know Charly and he is no idot and he can face some critiques , don't worry
