C'mon, lets be fair, there are TONS of generalizations from the Anti-Bush people towards the Pro-Bush people also. As soon as I quote a pro-bush stance, I'm called ignorant, sheep, moron, etc,etc,etc... If you don't see it going both ways, I would be happy to search out TONS of threads to show you... :2 cents: |
cant stand bush

But in my experiences (although limited), when I see threads as they are today... the comments are almost always the same. Don't agree with Bush? You're immediately a "left wing liberal" even though there are many who had initially voted for him and now feel otherwise. Failing that, your IQ and manhood are immediately called into question. And my personal favorite.. if you don't like Bush or what he's doing, you're immediately labled Anti-American and have no support for America's troups. |

What kills me about this stuff is that we live in a world made up of little black & white, and a whole lotta grey. It's so easy for people to pigeonhole, label, and dismiss someone by throwing some stereotype, or complete horseshit on someone (much like mentioned above). You talk to some brain dead hick, and say anything against Bush, or the war, and they will put that one tooth to work and start calling you anti American, and a commie. As well as citing O'Reilly or Fox News are their "resource". Very hard to take someone like that seriously. Anyone against the war, and says we should pull out, not be there, shouldn't have been in Iraq in the first place is called every libral and every other :2 cents: silly word routinely used by the chicken hawks. On the other end, if you support Bush, you are a warmonger, Republican, big business, Nazi, Hitler, facist, and so on and so on. I can't stand Bush's politics. I can't stand the fact he dismisses every other country on the planet, including Blair and England when they actually supported his war. I do not like his candor, nor rationale when the rest of the world scientists, or other experts in a field say one thing, and he can just blow it off as something else. He lacks vision for the big picture for the whole planet, and seems to be controlled by corporate greed more than the will of the tax payers who's money he is so willing to throw away in another country while people in this country go without. Oh yeah, and let's not forget his economic policies. WHAT economic poicies you ask? Exactly. :disgust I just hope the democrats can stop fighting amung themselves long enough to put a strong candidate out there. If they had some sense, they would be doign that now. They would have whomever they are planning to be the next candidate working the press circuits and testing the water this moment, not waiting til months/year before the next election. They would start building the momentum so they could steamroll Cheney, or Jeb Bush in the next election. :disgust |
