Watched the Local mall burn to the ground last night .
 

Last night I was sitting here getting into my work when I noticed an unusual amount of cop sirens etc , so I looked out side and could see something was burning .. so I hopped in the car and went to check it out ,

Turns out it was the local mall on fire in one of the shops, so I drove back here to get the wife to check it out and we went back and watched the entire mall burn to the ground .

It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen .
Sad that there was a pet store where I go for all my animal supplies and we've gotten to know the people that work there and they were only able to get the furry animals out , all the birds were killed by smoke and the reptile room caught fire faster than the other side , I offered a hand to control some of the animals , but by the time I got there it was too late to help get any more out :(

So the whole towns power was out until tonight sometime and the mall was still burning 14 hours after it started.

They are suspecting arson , I can't believe someone would do this however the mall was for sale , so who knows if it was some insurance scam or something .

I got some pics with a fuji disposable camera I bought at the gas station infront of the mall and I'll post them tommorow when I get them back .

This malls about a block and a half long and now its GONE 100%
Nothing but debris and black shit .. amazing what fire can do .
It looked like something out of a movie and the entire town was out of bed watching it burn .

They evactuated a large areas of houses behind the mall and there was people running everywhere and panic , I've never seen anything like this ever .

I'm exhausted and I'll be hitting the sack soon

In my city in the 22 years I've lived here the same one story restraunt has had five fires making it a total loss. All times it's been rebuilt. Now it's been empty for the last two years probably until the next failure restraunt goes in and another fire takes it out. Insurance scams are not as rare as one thinks.
