At least to me it is. I wrote this to my son on a blog I keep to him (he's 5):

Machine to make Daddy Skinny or Medium

Last night I was talking to you on the telephone and I told you that I bought an excercise machine. I told you that if I use it every day it will help my belly get smaller.

This morning you told your mommy, "Daddy bought a machine that will make him skinny or medium."

You thought the machine would just magically change my size. Mommy told you that there is no such machine and that I probably bought an excercise machine. You replied, "No. He told me he bought a machine that will make him skinny or medium." You wanted her to call me and ask me, so she did.

When she first asked the question I said, "What?" because it took me a minute to comprehend that you were thinking the machine would just reshape my body. I paused for a few seconds and started laughing harder than I've laughed in a long time. My laughter made your mom start laughing too. She couldn't stop. She had to tell you that she was laughing because daddy was being silly. You get a little upset if we laugh at something you say or do. Mommy had been holding in the laughter the whole time you were telling her about daddy's machine for just that reason. She couldn't hold it anymore.

I had her tell you that I did indeed buy a machine that makes me skinny or medium, but that it is an excercise machine that will only work if I use it every day and that it will take a long time to make me skinny or medium.
