Vonage... good, bad, ugly?

Anyone using them care to share their experiences? Service in general / any hidden charges / tariffs such as those on "normal" phone bills.

This last phone bill pissed me off.

Thanks.

I love my Vonage. No hidden fees...ever. :thumbsup

Cut my phone bill from $300 + to about $120-that's keeping the landline upstairs.

No complaints at all. :thumbsup

i have no problem with their service...

i'v been using vonage since they came out like 2 years ago from Argentina.. i can make unlimited phone calls to all of the US and CANADA plus i have a US phone number.. paying just 25 bucks.. from 10.000km away.. nothing beats that.. the quality is better than the landline .. i just love it !

BradM 07-06-2005 04:43 PM

I use it and love it. Highly recommend it.

Their customer support sucks but you really don't need it. Pretty easy to use.
No real complaints. Much cheaper than a land line and better imo. I got unlimited long distance with a fax line for $40 / month(2 phone lines). Can't beat that.

We switched over to Vonage for our office and our home and we've had no problems at all. It's inexpensive and efficient.

tony286 07-06-2005 06:14 PM

love it the only thing that sucks is your cable is dead so is your phone

Elli 07-06-2005 06:14 PM

They just rolled out in Canada and I signed up. I'm about to power down right now to plug in the adapter.

A little note: if you buy it from Future Shop or another store, you'll get charged $80 for the router. If you sign up online, there's the connection fee but no router charge.

2 years now and the price goes down and they email you "hey your price went down 5 bucks a month"
