Tom's War....or the Worlds????
 

Maybe you take these kids comments about "War of the Worlds" seriously. If you do, you'll be wasting a good theater ticket. The absolute best part of the movie is.......the popcorn and coke!

Whatever Cruise had in his other movies, he evidently left at home when he skipped out to make this one. It's boring and too damned focused on "him." Even so, Dakota Fanning is the show stealer.

No, save your money, buy some microwave popcorn and a bottle of coke and rent the 50s version with Gene Barry. It's much, much better.

This movie SUCKED, bigtime! And Tom Cruise right along with it! Party's over Tom. Turn off the lights and go the fuck away!

PS...and please, don't touch another classic as long as you can walk and talk. Thank you.

I agree but the special effects were kinda cool

well.. the more we talk about the film, whether we like it or not, people will always have the tendency to go check it out.. they will be curious why we are making a fuss about it..

effects are good but the plot was not that good :(

Some friends have told me that they've bought tickets to some other, cheaper show and then ducked in to see WW instead. Their reasoning? Tommy didn't get the bucks. I like their way of thinking.

If you want to pay bucks to see special effects ONLY, then you have a movie to watch. If you're interested in the "War of the Worlds" classic, head for Blockbuster and get the 50s version.

BTW, those of you, who are over 30, a question. Did the faces/heads of the Martians strike you as being "familiar?" Wasn't there another "creature" with that same fucking head some years back???? Fucker wasn't even original!

I still haven't seen it. I think I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD and just netflix it. :thumbsup

I enjoyed it very much. Saw it last night with my fiance and AaronM too. We all liked it.

You'll miss out on some great sound effects. Nothing compares to seeing a movie on the big screen.
