Chernobyl Tour
http://www.ukrainianweb.com/chernobyl_ukraine.htm Look down the page, seems like a cool thing. I wonder if it's safe?
|
You will probably come back glowing green, I dont care how safe they say, or think it is, I wouldnt go near that place for anything :2 cents: Someone had some pics up on here a while back from a tour they took.
|
Too much radiation. Will take 30000 years before that area is safe to live in again.

I think it would be interesting but it can't be that safe regardless of the protection they offer.

If you are looking for a vacation spot, I would suggest chill at a radiation free place. I'm in Costa Rica right now, and I have plenty of hookups down here, let me know if maybe I can be of help, at least you won't go home with some additional body parts.
My name is Chuck, and I'm here to... |

A few slogans the tourist board in Chernobyl should consider;
Come to Chernobyl, you will be glowing when you come back...literally. Your friends will be green with envy. You'll be green from radiation. It's not just our smile that's radiant. Want a good destination? Come here instead! Enjoy the radiation and people waving from the hand on their forehead! (okay that one is more like poetry than a slogan, but it would still work in a brochure). |
Thanks. I'll rather have a vacation in Thailand.

basically nowhere is safe now |
There is a big difference going there on a onedaytrip and actual living there and eating food from the area.
I wouldn't be afraid of going there one day only but would be careful though and bring a geigercounter. |
