Pics From Munich!!...... SURFING A RIVER Edition #3 (pix)
The story behind these pics is, we were taking a Bike Tour in Munich that stops at Beer Gardens every hour, so we go into this park, which is supposed to be the largest metropolitan park in the world.
We're riding our bikes drunk as can be and stumble upon these crazy guys, surfing in the river. You gotta feel their pain, being a surfer and not having a beach to go to....... So what I was told is, they put a big ass log right into the river to make these waves, not so sure how that works, but it seems to be working out quite nicely for them. In order for them to get off the wave they have to eat it and then get dragged down the river for about a 1/4 mile, get out, walk back and do it again. Anyhow just thought I would share these pics with everyone. seen it on tv before, but i dont think its created by a log.... wouldnt a log float away?

wow thats kinda crazy looks like they might have put a real big log under the water and the flowing water runs into the log or something of that sort and causes that dip and wave ...

I never heard the log thing, but I saw something on Discovery about it. and they said that the river is moving very fast, and they it is an easy place to die.
