Wordpress Auto Update question.

Okay I'm using the time edit stamp to auto update some blogs.

However this is what I'm noticing, less and less traffic because it's not pinging the services when it auto updates, but probably pinging them when I saved it.

Is there something I can do to change this inside wordpress?

I do not want to have to go in and update every blog by hand every single day, but I don't want to lose the traffic I was getting from those services...it dropped like 75% and that just sucks.

You can always just make it a habit to go to pingomatic.com a couple times a day and ping from there

Yes, I guess I could..but at some point in time it's going to be about 20 plus blogs.

So I guess it's safe to assume that everyone has the same issue, that you can't set it up to auto update and ping when it actually auto updates?

If you find out Eros, please icq me. I have this same problem and if I can't find a solution I will have to figure out how to hack it.

There are a few threads on the Wordpress board that since v1.5, the autoping thingy isn't working any more for pingomatic. Although it would slow you posting down, one solution is to put all the place pingomatic hits in place of the pingomatic entry.
