Choker, if you get to the bottom of it, would be appreciated if you'd post how they got in. it's practically impossible keeping servers secure these days, you update one app to make it secure and another one breaks.

I think the founder of GOBBLES security had a porn site which some traffic broker convinced choker to ban. Unfortunetly, neither of them knew. :(

Nope. Choker decided he'd make fun of everyone and deface his own site.

Its not impossible. The problem is people just don't care about this kind of stuff.
IIRC not long ago he had a problem with his board.
Its pretty much obvious he doesn't invest in security.
Theres more to security than keeping everything patched.
by the looks of it he didn't have that at least.

GOBBLES security is also the same `anonymous' organization that has aparently implemented a backdoor/vulnerability in all of the latest Linux kernels. Something to do with how the kernel handles TCP packet headers on both IPV4 and IPV6 protocols. So if your web server is running on ANY linux server and has ANY TCP protocol open to the public (including SSH, TELNET, FTP, WWW, DNS, etc.) you're pretty much a sitting duck.

Same vulnerability is pending investigation by multiple agencies.

That's not something you'll see on securityfocus though :(

The people who are actually capable of anything believe that this will cause too much of a panic for all of the security `professionals' and corporations out there.

Even if people care, it's still beyond their power

I'd disagree but I'm not in the mood of debating with surfers.

Disagree thinking people trying to buy information know all?
I hope you're not employed in the computer security industry :)
