Swiss audiotex pioneers are first-to-market with an innovative geo-targeted billing tool that allows AWM to bill the world.

Geneva, 4th July 2005 The recent Mastercard hacking scare together with the fact that 92% of the world?s population do not have a credit card only serves as to reinforce the fact utilising alternative billing mechanisms to a global audience is more important now than ever.

In theory, the dialler was the answer. End user would pay you on a per minute basis whilst their modem reconnected to the web via a premium rate number. In practice, high incidence of fraud leading to horrendous phone bills shattered consumer confidence, resulting in mass rejection of invitations to have additional software downloaded onto their PC?s. Increasing broadband penetration has rendered the dialler obsolete anyway.

PbP has global telco interconnect agreements in place. In those markets where Premium rate is supported, a domestic number is shown. In all others, users are invited to call an international number in order to receive the necessary password necessary in order to unlock the members area for 30 minutes. PbP then collects the revenue from the ?terminating? telco.

The solution is affiliate friendly in all respects. Programme owners can pay their affiliates, and webmasters can refer other?s to PbP and get paid 10% commission for so doing. The solution can be disabled for key credit card markets such as US if needed. There are no set up fees, and all routing costs and non-payables are reflected in rates available, which is significantly more than the dialler companies were offering.
