Here's a poser for you: you're trying to sell a rather uninspiring second-hand 19in CRT monitor on eBay and you want to inject a little spice into the auction. What are your options? Well, you could claim that it has a likeness of the Virgin Mary mysteriously burnt into the phosphor. Alternatively, you might suggest that the cathode ray device is possessed by Satan and has on several occasions attempted to kill you and your family. Both tried and trusted marketing techniques, and not without merit.

On the other hand, why not try something a little more provocative, like this tremendous effort from jimjamprop007 of Market Drayton?:

Yes indeed. Consider the mind well and truly boggled. Naturally, we are not going to lower ourselves to cheap innuendo at this point, so you can forget references to 19 inches of throbbing CRT joy and "bloody hell, that monitor has an enormous knob". No, we'll let the picture do the talking in this case, and restrict ourselves to speculating on what on God's green Earth they get up to in Market Drayton.

As regular readers of NTK will know, jimjamprop007's snap is just the latest example of the old "naked bods reflected in monitor/TV" gag, which naturally currys little favour with the powers that be. eBayers, eh?
