I just got off the phone with my g/f and she told me that she and her 4 year old little girl watched Kill Bill lastnight. I didn't say anything but would you let a 4 year old watch that movie? I sure as hell wouldn't.

This is what the problem is. Stupid and/or lazy parents. Kid sees violent movies then acts violent blame the movie makers. Kid plays violent M rated games blame the game makers. Kid sees porn it's the pornographers fault. When is it ever the stupid/lazy parents fault?Comment

Fantasy, presented as such, isn't harmful. Adult webmasters ought to be one of the first groups challenging this conservative bugaboo. I've got no problem with a kid watching Kill Bill, knowing that it is make-believe; the dead people are just pretending. I'd much rather that sort of liberal upbringing than have children fed firey-pits-of-hell fantasys presented as fact. I think good parenting is about how you explain the world, not how long you can hide it.Comment
