It will be a great concert. Although I have my doubts if it will help Africa. My grandmother did send money ages ago, and what did change since then? The political system there is simply to corrupt, and they don't care.

You watch it on MTV? Damn you like 20 minutes commercials or something:)? Serious, doesn't another channel broadcasts it? Here in The Netherlands we can see it all, and almost with no commercial brakes.

WTF? They said REM is now playing in London, but the London feed is running the same Tim Mcgraw feed as the Rome feed:(

The United States doesn't give up TV time like that, even if it's for a great cause.

The online webcasts obviously aren't all live. The global feed just brought on REM. Michael Stipe has blue face paint on (that I read about 20 minutes ago).

When was the last live aid concert? How many years ago? What's improved since? Oh, wait, it's actually declined. Africa needs to sort it's own shit out and throwing money at the problem is not the way to do it. The first thing they need to do is start assassinating the likes of Robert Mugabe.
