Why are there so many blank emails floating around these days?

Here's one that just arrived now....

Nothing in the "to" line.
Nothing in the body of the email.
No attachments.
Nothing.


What purpose?

Instead of doing a test to themselves they risked getting blocked so their next attempt won't get through
