What do you get when you cross the movies Independence Day and Signs?
 

War of the Worlds!

Just got back from seeing it and I must say, Ugh. It was a decent movie as far as effects and it did keep me slightly entertained but it just didn't do it for me.

What killed it for me was when they showed the Aliens in the basement! What the fuck! C'mon Spielberg! You're good enough to invent new aliens instead of ripping them off from Independence Day with Will Smith! I was pretty into the movie up until that point. After seeing those aliens I thought I was watching Independence Day II, Return of the Aliens. :disgust

well, of course i had to read the spoiler too....once i start reading a post, i can't just not finish it

No, I think you confused my "spoiler warning" with something else. The alien costumes are what spoiled the movie. :winkwink:

Good choice. I might actually go see that again today. Fuck Tom Cruise, War of the Worlds isn't getting my $10.

Batman is pretty damn good. I want to watch Land of the Dead.

Um, you do realize that ID4 was a massive ripoff of War of the Worlds in the first place right? All those things you think are rips are things from the original book.
