2. How does it feel to always be living in your brother's shadow?


I find this question hilarious-

My brother D$ is 2 yrs younger than I and It was I that brought him into the world of being a salesman back when he was waiting tables in Cleveland at a place called "Shooters".

At that time I showed hm how to hustle pictures door to door and that he was a "natural" for sales-
He ended up becoming not only one of the best salespeole I know in this biz- but in every other business he was ni he was the BEST.

5 Yrs later we find ourselves relocating to sunny Southern California- I had been awardd a judgement in a personal injury case an finally had enough money and balls to move out of dreary, cold , wet Cleveland.

I had $10,000 to my name , my BROTHER has $1200
I helped both of us get on our feet out here, and while I ventured off into selling Howard Stern radio spots here for 91 X ( a modern/alternative station ) my brother started an alarm company with my cousin Jonathon.

While he was out cold calling he met the Webside Story guys and left to go work for them.

My brother introduced me to the people in this business back in 98, and I was so envious of the $$$ these people were making at the ages they were.

People like Rich Botto, Mike Fold, and Janey and Steve Huntington were at the first party D took me to.

I found myself in a cubicle one day at AT&T an begged my brother to get me a job in the adult biz- it was then he introduced me to an 18 yr old kid named Tom who owend Blue Gravity Hosting- He hired me on, and D taught me a lot about this business-

It wasn't until D introduced me to Rick from YNOT that I started to really understand the biz however- I knew nothing about hosting back then and didn't know a mouse from a mouse pad.

After selling YNOT in 2000 for Rick, I went on to a myriad of jobs- all on my own. Ihaven't worked alongside of my brother in over 7 yrs. 7 Yrs ago we were partnered with HOMEGROWN VIDEO on a project called amateurfootage.com

It was one of the first plug ins marketed back then and ironically Ron Levi was our first customer-

Anyway I am getting off track- long story short , we lived in a two bedroom, crowded apt in Pacific Beach, and nearly killed each other.

We decided at tha time we should do biz alongside of each other, but not WITH each other- Aside from helping my brother promote the The Players Ball ( which i have no finacial interest in) we do absolutely nothing together or share any corporate entities.

But keep in mind- when people settle out of court with you- it means they are either guilty- or simply don't want to incur further legal expenses

If there were suits filed, regardless of the outcome, the documents that were filed would be on record with the court. Since you say you always tell the truth, I'm curious as to just what truths you were telling about these companies when you filed the suits.

Um, KB, honey, sorry to burst your bubble of truth, but anyone who's been involved in an actual lawsuit -- you know, one that involves a court of law -- knows that when you file the suit the documents are a matter of public record. It might be that your suits were dismissed when you settled them, but truth be told, if you filed them, then they are somwhere on a court computer system, your filing and any response made by the other party.

You don't have to tell me the case number or anything that complicated, just the state that you filed in will work for me.

And I'm also curious as to why a criminal defense attorney that might have a pug would be handling a civil litigation suit?

KB spoke about the beginning of his internet and how I brought him in, but he left out the best part.

I put KB through an initiation process.

You see, it's like this. When I moved to California with KB, we both started our lives over again. I landed in this industry and had a chance to be my own person, without people stereotyping me because they know one of my family members. Our parents in Cleveland know just about everyone, so when our last name comes up, everyone knows our parents or my brother KBizzle. It's nice to start all over and create your own reputation without people assuming you're just like someone else in your family, good or bad. Our parents are wll liked, but like I said, building your own name without the support of anothers name is more appealing to be.

Knowing KB's outspoken personality, I knew that if I ever brought him into this biz and he started pissing with people, maybe I'd be grouped in and people would just assume I'm like that as well. So I waited a year or two, once I felt like I had branded myself and created a solid reputation, then I brought him in. Glad I did, cause this biz is way more fun with him in it. For those that don't know, I'm definitely different then KB.

So here's the initiation, it was posted a while ago, but it's funny so I'll tell it again. I told KB that if he bleached his hair platinum blond, I'd get him a job in this biz. Sure enough, he went to the hair place ands they fried his poor little head and he was the funniest looking platinum blond I've ever seen. It only stayed like that for like a day though before he re-colored it. Now a days it's not so uncommon to see people with that bleach blond look, but at the time it was pretty radical especially since we were fresh out of the midwest living in Cali.

You don't need to forgive me for anything KB, I'm just having a hard time finding any record of any suit filed by you in either federal court or the State of California. But I'm sure that since you said you filed lawsuits, you did file lawsuits, right?
