This type of thinking is the main reason why Iran is justified to try to acquire WMD as fast as possible : it is called self defense... If I had Israel as a neighboor, I would attack you pre-emptively ... seems to be the rule now.

I think that for a country with a 6 million population that is surrounded with enemies with much bigger territories and population, which is democratic, and not led by an insane dictator (it is ironic to say these days but nevermind) it is legitimate to have WMD for deterration and self defence.

The US never won in Afghanistan. They just took the capital and all of the hard liners moved to the mountains to carry on exactly as before.

They wont try to get us to do anything. Bush will gladly do it on his own.

I haven't seen any parades in Israel lately demonstrating new missiles that can reach Iran easily and openly calling for the eradication of Iran...

Israel could not bomb Iran without flying over either Iraq or Saudi Arabia. They would not be able to do this without US permission, which would implicate the US in the bombing. Therefore, Israel will not bomb Iran.

3. it's also possible to fly over lebanon and syria, and there are more complicated ways too.. look at the map.

it's obvious that israel won't bomb iran without us permission, but permission doesn't mean us will actively involve in the bombing.
