Do you shoot with a wide angel lens (converter) or without?

I've never used one but I keep hearing it's a must for adult. Anyone care to discuss their opinions on this?

if you shoot busty then its a must - anyway it depends on what kind of stuff you shoot
mostly we shoot using wide angle convertor

I shoot with a 24-70 f2.8 set on 24mm most of the time. I''m strongly considering picking up the 16-35 f2.8

All depends on what you shoot, but in most cases it is a must - we use them for almost every contest we do usually because stage size is an issue and being 3 feet from your target makes a shitty video/images. You can always zoom in a bit but you can't back out.

If you get one, don't expect to spend less than $300 for a good lense - anything cheaper will look fish-eyed

I have shot a lot of porn movies and web videos but I use a wide-angle lens for very few shoots. I have an expensive one for my Canon XL-1 but I rarely use it. Wide angle lenses by necessity just don't have enough of a focal range to zoom in and out of the action from a distance. I only like using them if filming something that has a wide range of action like an orgy or gangbang where you want to keep a lot of people in the shot at once or if you are working in a miniscule room by design and you can't back up much.

Ah.....Video. Yep...I also use a pro wide angle lens for all my vids.

wide angle is the most overused gimmick in porn and few people even know how to use it properly.

Generally speaking its bad for hand held video shots unless the shot is of a more panoramic nature.

IF you get one get a good one that doesnt vignette on your camera...that means at the widest setting you dont see black around the edges.

never use it for anything close up...that distorts your model in very ugly ways.

Consider using a 16:9 mode if your camera has one thats a FAR better alternative.

What's a good one for the VX2100 that has zero distortion, and zero vignette..... even on the raw video on the computer screen (and not just outside the TV safe area)?

For stills yes - in small confines such as bathrooms they can be great, my Canon 17-40 F4 L makes me happy :thumbsup
