say you have an other appointment you'd rather be at, like the dentist.

its at night, going to be hard to convince him that i have dentist appointment at 7pm on sunday :)

Digibucks 06-30-2005 02:14 AM

just attend the event to avoid conflict :)

$tandaman 06-30-2005 06:09 AM

Tell him you are working the night shift

kristin 06-30-2005 06:12 AM

If you only talk to him once a year, how'd he know if you have anything going on?

Just fill out the RSVP and mark the regretfully no line and when and if he asks, just say you had a prior engagement.

Relish XXX 06-30-2005 06:13 AM

Attend the event and hrie the most hideous fat hooker you can find. Kill two birds one stone, he will appreciate that you went but will never call you again due to the ugly bitch you are now seeing.

SirTreX 06-30-2005 06:20 AM

Just go so youwon't have to seem him the rest of the year :D

Brad Gosse 06-30-2005 06:20 AM

Just go dude. Obviouslly you mean enough to the guy to get invited to his wedding, do him the favor and show up for the free meal and drinks.

If you REALLY think he is just fishing for your gift don't bring one.

Remember this:

At the end of our lives we begin to regret the things we didn't do more than the things we did.

naugthygUrL 06-30-2005 06:32 AM

it doesnt matter if you see this person once a year.. its up to you if you dont want to go in their wedding

MindyBlingBucks 06-30-2005 06:49 AM

If you don't want to go, don't go.

If you need an excuse, it's on a Sunday, tell him you have to wake up early on Monday morning. :thumbsup

taibo 06-30-2005 07:04 AM

just tell him you have other things planned already, he shouldn't flip about it.

Miss Vlasta 06-30-2005 07:06 AM

Go. Never know, maybe youŽll meet someone interesting. :rasta You can always leave if you donŽt like it.

Trixxxia 06-30-2005 07:09 AM

I'd go with the: Sorry will be out of town at a convention.

Make sure you're not near the place where he's getting married that day + monday :)

VicD 06-30-2005 07:12 AM

what's the problem?

Herb Kornfield 06-30-2005 07:21 AM

Be a true baller hit the wedding and look for single bridesmaids or other babes to bag for a ride in the A4 later across the wonders of Brooklyn;)

As I have gotten older myself here, alot of my old homies I only seem to see at Weddings, their kid's birthdays and the occasional bachelor party.

Go and enjoy yourself, you might even meet someone you'd never have met otherwise.

Worst case: you meet no one BUT... there is cake at the end to get down on
