so i got invited to this guys wedding i see him like maybe once a year this person, and i dont really wanna go. is it polite for me not to go ?

say you have an other appointment you'd rather be at, like the dentist.

its at night, going to be hard to convince him that i have dentist appointment at 7pm on sunday :)

just attend the event to avoid conflict :)

If you only talk to him once a year, how'd he know if you have anything going on?

Just fill out the RSVP and mark the regretfully no line and when and if he asks, just say you had a prior engagement.

Attend the event and hrie the most hideous fat hooker you can find. Kill two birds one stone, he will appreciate that you went but will never call you again due to the ugly bitch you are now seeing.

Just go dude. Obviouslly you mean enough to the guy to get invited to his wedding, do him the favor and show up for the free meal and drinks.

If you REALLY think he is just fishing for your gift don't bring one.

Make sure you're not near the place where he's getting married that day + monday :)

Be a true baller hit the wedding and look for single bridesmaids or other babes to bag for a ride in the A4 later across the wonders of Brooklyn;)

As I have gotten older myself here, alot of my old homies I only seem to see at Weddings, their kid's birthdays and the occasional bachelor party.

Go and enjoy yourself, you might even meet someone you'd never have met otherwise.

Worst case: you meet no one BUT... there is cake at the end to get down on
