Quick opinion question..(design)

What do you guys think about this..

i'm considering having a designer take a whack at it, after all it is a text tgp so its not exactly bound to be exactly enthralling but i suppose it could use a slight spruce here and there..

Any hints on anything I can do to make it a tad more friendly to the surfer would be appreciated.

i think it's better than half the so called designers on here. my only advice would be to try and make it a bit more compact. maybe mvoe the banner from up top. try to get those galleries as high up the page as possible. as for the design, i really like it.

It's not too shabby, for a first try. However, if you know anything about running TGP's, then you should probably get a designer on it. If not, giving it a shot on your own and changing your design, based on trial and error, would teach you a lot more. Provided that you have the time to focus on this project, of course.

Not bad. It is clean and straight to the point.

I like it but I think you should do something so that all the links don't blend together. I would suggest making the descriptions links but having the number of pictures and category in bold black and unlinked.

Some suggestions:
-get a background color
For example grey to white: This looks a lot better and is not hard to do.
- Make it more compact. It I'll make it easier to browse for visitors which will result in them coming back :)

-Also make sure the links are easy to read. The blue link aren't very good visible because of the white background.
