Credit Question.. [30 day Late].. Having a bad day

WOW im having such a bad fucking day..

OK i SENT a payment for my CAR but somehow they never got it.. And i got proove i sent it to them?? So im screwed..

Ive been going back and forth all day with them but 2 days ago they reported 30 day late to the credit bureau..

Now im only 19 and i have a credit score of about 730. Like i watch my credit like a hawk, etc, this shit is getting me depressed.. I worked hard to get good credit..

Im wondering how many points a 30 day late will drop me??
5pts? 10pts?

You have no proof that it was sent prior? If not, don't sweat it. It happens. One over 30 will not kill you forever. Good luck :thumbsup

If you mailed it in before then the envelope should be postmarked. That's your proof. :2 cents:

xxweekxx 06-29-2005 09:50 AM

nah i have no proof. I just put stamp and put it in mailbox.. They said they NEVER got it..
Yeah bro but i feel like crying man.. My credit means a lot to me..

Ok like for example, i have an american express BLUE, with a $40,000 Limit..
Capital one with $300 (Fucking idiots wont raise my limit)

For 19yrs thats not bad at all. Im responsible but that 30 day late will bug me for the rest of my life. How many points do u think i will lose?

It depends on how recent. Right up front it will be about 10 to 15 points... after a year, if everything else is good, it should fade away to virutally no effect

FACT:

Credit companies do not report you at 30 days late.

First of all, there is a 30 day grace period from the date the bill is issued. If you go 30 days past that (60 days out) they still don't report you in most cases. When you go 90 days out THEN they report you as a 30 day which is really 60 days past your due date which again....Has a 30 day grace period.

So...You are either 60 but most likely 90 days past due if they have already reported you as 30.

Many people have problems paying their bills on time....Especially people at your age. Don't come here and try to snow us over though. I spent almost 4 years in the banking industry dealing with people on these exact issues.

I have seen car financing companies put in notice at 30 days over. I'm a mortgage broker on the side, and although I agree with you in regards to CC companies, car financing can be more strict at times.

(I know, I know. I STILL owe you a breakfast!) :winkwink:

30 days OVER is still 60 days with the 30 day grace.

And yes.....You do. :winkwink:

It wont be a long life if you keep stressing about how many points you will lose for a 30 day late notice. By the sounds of it, you dont need credit, just shove some coal up your ass, then head to the jewelry district.

xxweekxx 06-29-2005 12:50 PM
