got to say i was very dissapointed with the ending of it but overall the entertainment factor was there :thumbsup

oh and that little girl that was in it is a brilliant actress.

can you imagine how good she'll be when she's older?

im heading to WOTW tonite..........will see for myself how good it is or isn't.......

I dont know if I want to see it and support tom cruise hes been an idiot lately

havent seen the original but i hate how they basically sumed up the whole movie in 5 mins at the end.. you will see what i mean when you see it..

basically there was no depth to it but everything else- special effects and acting preformance wise it was great

anyways im off to bed..

I live 20 yards from a theater, maybe I'll go see it tomorrow but I hate oppening day crowds unless it is like Star Wars

If your debating between this and Batman see Batman. Still want to see this even though Cruise is whack lately, Dakota Fanning is definitely talented.

Batman Begins is way way better.............in my mind, it and Cinderella Man are the best movies of the year so far........

WOTW was good, so it tonite, don't get me wrong, but more like in the "Revenge of the Sith" category for movies...........a good movie, but Batman? That was brilliant.

saw it tonight.. it was a fun movie but had no real in-depth plot.

Yeah, Dakota Fanning's one good actress. SHe even got nominated for a Screen Actor's Guild Award for the movie I am Sam. She has co-starred with a lot of good actors too, like Sean Penn and Robert deNiro.

very average movie.

The scene that I most like was when Tom blindfolded Dakota told him to cover her ears and killed the guy.

Hmmm.. The guy is running away with his 2 kids from giant Tripods destroying everything in its path and using humans as fertilizer. What "in-depth" plot did you expect? Tom Cruise falling in love with another girl running away? Tom Cruise saving the world with a plane? :1orglaugh

I mean come on.. The book was released in 1898. People complaining that the ending is "too" Hollywood are clueless. That's how it ENDED in the book.

The ending is exactly like in the book.. Birds (Crows) are waiting for the aliens to die. And we see the tripods crash on the ground.. Spielberg wanted to end it like in the book.

And the Tripod Call scared the living shit out of me.

i haven't watched that movie, but i heard it sucked because of tom cruise's issues.
