I've tried various spider simulators to see what their real pages look like, but none of them show the real code. So I assume that they are using a server side cloaking script.

Anyone recognize the exact program they are using?

There are 132,000 pages indexed in google.

And why do I want to know how they do it? Simple. I too depend a great deal on SEO for my traffic. This means studying ALL types of pages that are receiving top rankings...whether they use black hat or white hat.

That's hardcore search engine spamming. If the pages aren't related to the search string at all, I would imagine getting him banned would be easy. In a perfect world it would be.

What's funny is all his pages dont have that "cached" feature in google like all the other terms.... Why is that? and what determines if you have that cached page feature in google

I viewed the source, it's just a TGP page, probably when he notices a term to get #1, he stops updating that tgp page and then cloaks it...

Through a line of code you can prevent caching.

Cloaking = One page keyword filled for google and one page for the user.

Phantom Cloaker can do all those things automated for you.

And will eventually lead to shitcanning your domain, please boys and girls use throw-aways :) I guarantee you your domain will be shitlisted, they only last a few days, i browse and monitor this stuff daily, they DO NOT last... and not recommended strategy for anyone getting into se stuff.

It's fast money, that's all and as long as the cloaking - actual content correlation doesn't get too irrelevant you won't get problems that fast.

How many pages need to be made w/ that program to show results? I had it make up several hundred cloacked pages but the only page that ever got indexed was the legit front page. After a week or two I removed all the cloaked pages since the legitimate one was doing well. I'd hate to think I wasted $100+ on that program though.

Without good inbound links not much will be indexed of course.

That makes sense; but what should be linked, just the front page or links to all the cloaked pages it generates? I had a few sites linking to the front page in this instance, one PR4 site mostly PR1-2, but nothing to the cloaked pages.

I noticed something similair on dutch terms. +- 10 different domains promoting Webcams, they all get the top spots.

I finally figured out how they're doing it, but I can't say a thing.

Index or sitemap, if the PR is strong enough and the site you're linking from gets spidered daily it all shouldn't be a problem. The amount of sites shown in the google index is just limited if the site itself doesn't have a PR at 6 or above.

Just an update. I too figured it out shortly after I posted this thread. I changed my user-agent to googlebot in Firefly, and could easily see the real pages. And I found the software that they were using to do both the cloaking and the doorway page -fantomaster. A pricey little piece of software at over $1,000.

Interesting development....I have noticed songlyrics4free.com pages coming up for numerous search terms for about 4 months. Today, every single page is gone from google. And so are the pages from another of their domains, tonsoflyrics.com. Doing a site: or link: search brings up zero. Hmmmm...do we have a google spy in our midst?
