Just saw War of the Worlds
 

I just got to see an early screening of War of the Worlds and wanted to give my thoughts -

It was pretty good overall, special effects were great. It starts out pretty quickly into the action, but does have some pretty slow parts here and there that may make you glance at your watch a couple times.

Tom Cruise did a decent job, and actually had some humorous bits near the beginning. The actress who plays his daughter was great, and really outshines Cruise in my opinion.

My overall rating: B+

It's either that or Batman this weekend

Damn, I wish that I could see both. But, not going to happen.

oh and p.s. - the train crossing scene was the best :)

Batman is incredible.

Batman was excellent. One of the best this year. Id also recommend Cinderella Man. WotW is gonna kick ass. Hoping to see it tomorrow

For me so far, Batman Begins and Cinderella Man are the best movies so far this year...........

we'll see if WOTW fits into that category tomorrow.........and I have a feeling King Kong in December will also be up there as its Peter Jackson.

I can't watch Tom Cruise or John Travolta without thinking how whacked out they are with all the scientology stuff.

Dakota Fanning (the little girl in the movie) is a GREAT fuckin actress!!!!!!!
she made me ball my eyes out in "I Am Sam" with Sean Penn. I am big fan of hers!!

Cant wait to see it!
