Whats the best video editing software?
as the title says....
|
Discret Edit 6 + combustion
... but bout a full matrox boardset first the easyest and cheapest ... adobe premier6 |
Try to stay away from Pinnacle Studio 9, I've never had more bugs in a piece of software than I had while using it. Try Sony's Vegas also, it's great stuff.
|
Mac = Final Cut Pro with Cleaner 6.
PC = Premiere or FCP. ADG Webmaster |

Does no-one use Avid? http://www.avid.com This is the most powerfull software going.
|
We run http://www.avidstore.com/uk/index.cf...roductid=58049
to make DVDs then we use Premier for any web based stuff. |
I'd say Avid or Premiere for Editing, and Canopus Procoder hands down to convert between formats.

My favorites are: PC: Vegas Video (much better faster and easier than premiere) Mac: Final Cut I use Cleaner for both systems Final Cut is definitely the better program. Unless you are making full movies or TV shows I would say Avid is unecessary now a days. Good video production is all about clean edits and transistions with well timed to correlating sound effects, dialogue or music. Anything else is just gravy. All of the software in this thread can do that effectively. |
Final Cut Pro. :thumbsup

Adobe Premier....

Start with Adobe Premier 6.0. Nice newbie program to learn on, and you can do more advanced stuff as you get better. Then bump to Premier 1.5.
It's more stable, and has some extra goodies to play with. I actually use both depending on what I am working with. I've tried other shit over the years, but since using Premiere I'd never go back. :thumbsup |
I use Premiere Pro for serious stuff with Cleaner XL to encode
- Premiere 6.5 for simple quick stuff like next day demos - |
