2257ware is proud to release Version 1.1 of 2257MAVIS . MAVIS, Model Age Verification and Identification System is a Windows based software application that helps keep you and/or your company compliant in regards to the recently published 18 USC 2257 regulations.

New in Version 1.1 is...

IN GENERAL:

* 2257MAVIS is a complete, stand alone solution, compliant with 28 CFR Part
75 Section 2 ( e ) which requires segregation of the records from any other
system of record keeping.

* Runs on Win9x/WinMe, Win2K, WinXP (Home and Professional) and Win2K3. No need for a specific Windows version or reliance on any 'web server'
technologies such as IIS or Apache. No complex database administration.

* Ease of backup. Program is completely self-sufficient and doesn't rely on
any Microsoft DLLs or Windows components, no Windows registry nightmares to get in the way of backing up the system and moving it to another computer, if necessary.

* Point and click ease of data entry.

* No 'single page per transaction' limitation as found in 'web based' solutions.

MODEL INFORMATION:
* Unlimited number of model records which also allows for advanced replication of model information to affiliates. MAVIS also allows for the specific model's information to be filtered for replication so models who have not specifically given their permission for personal information to be shared are not replicated.

* Models: Automatic creation of AKA records during model's initial record entry for current name and maiden name (if different).

* Unlimited number of AKAs for each model.

* Integrated TWAIN & WIA compliant scanning of Photo IDs and affidavits.

* Integrated reporting to print hard copy of model information with complete
list of productions.

PRODUCTIONS INFORMATION:
* Unlimited number of Productions records, and unlimited number of roduction
history URLs. Allows for cataloging of productions, including their country of
origin. Advanced replication of Productions records to affiliates.

PRODUCERS INFORMATION:
* Unlimited number of producers records, supporting producers in the USA and
abroad. Replication of Producers records to affiliates.

DOJ INVESTIGATIONS:
* Simple, easy to use (even for the DOJ) search capabilities. By Model, By AKA, By Productions, By URL.

Sounds great but I always have to ask - how to you store a copy of the depiction (.jpg, wmv, etc.) in the system as required by the new regs and confimed by the doj comments?

The copy of the depiction is actually stored on the hard disk of the 2257 computer as opposed to storing the file within the database. The database stores the full path and filename to the local copy of the depiction.

To further amplify, this allows you the best flexibility in managing the local copies on your 2257 machine... we all know how organized web sites are... ! NOT!

newbreed 06-28-2005 05:58 PM

An extra note on storage locations.... The software also provides an area to include non-digital copies, for example a DVD, CD, video tape, etc. in case you store your media in hard form.

Yep, thats great, just checking... Some of the 2257 products offered don't seem to have the ability to store the depiction (or a link to it).

Guess that means they're not exactly 2257 compliant... But hey, nobody's perfect... especially the 2257 regs...

Here's just what you need to store all of that local copy content...
