There are people here that have done amazine scripts for less than 5k. I would ask around. Just make sure that you can play with the code

Oh I can get someone here to do it for $1K, and do a good job at it too.
But I don't want anyone to know how what I'm doing is going to work, so I have to go outside the industry.

And quality mainstream work is way overpriced.

The "For Dummies" series turned out to be a real disappointment for me. At least, the ones I've looked at were full of disorganized information that was difficult to implement without having some kind of background in the subject the book was on.
