Dr phil is in there too, i can understand the people who voted though. Dr Phil and Oprah might have changed someones life for the better, as unbelievable as that sounds. The other people on the list might have not altered their lives directly when they were actually alive yet.

Well, it's sad but the truth is... Oprah influences more americans every day than just about anyone else.

Her show and magazine reach a lot of eyes in America and those eyes (mostly women) listen very closely.

I think she is highly important when you look at her as an inspirational figure to black ladies. She is probably a demi god to some who can say to themselves "If Oprah can suceed as much as she has done then I can probably do just 1000th of what she has and live a very comfortable life."
