i now know what computer idiots feel like when looking at a source code
I really need to learn how to play poker

MacDaddyPlaya 06-28-2005 06:32 AM

Nice pot! How did you finish up? :pimp

paymeback 06-28-2005 06:34 AM

Im abit confused.
You rerasied allin after a reraise, did you reallty think your 9s were that good?

Dusen 06-28-2005 08:19 AM

9's ARE good against 1 person. I'll bet you $20/hand for 5 hands simulated and you can hold any nonpaired other cards. Showdown only.

Kevsh 06-28-2005 08:30 AM

This AJAY guy should have dumped after the all-ins - 2 guys go all-in with 4 spades on the table and he "calls" with 2 pairs? Insane.

LexiLexxx 06-28-2005 08:30 AM

No chit, tells us more!

Congrats holdemblog!!

;)

Dusen 06-28-2005 08:36 AM

As a side comment it's good to see some moron calling the all-in with 2d-10s or something didn't beat you on the flush. Happens more often than not I find. Even on the 30 tourneys.

That wasn't his question or point.

There's a raise and reraise all in...raising all in with 9's after that is a dumbass move guy just got lucky.

He called preflop. Not after the flop.

He also had the best hand preflop against a total fish calling a raise and reraise with pocket 9's :1orglaugh

Now come on here fish and tell us how you must be so good becaue you took down that pot.

Yes - My bad, I noticed after I posted the way things really shook down - I thought he was against 1 all in and called.

He was also the initial raiser..but at that level using a mini-raise he's not chasing too many people out.

He should have moved all in.

Here are the #'s.
J's vs 9's in this situation.
Preflop
Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards

Jc Jh 1382740 80.75 323668 18.90 5896 0.34 0.809
9s 9d 323668 18.90 1382740 80.75 5896 0.34 0.191

Post Flop:
Holdem Hi: 990 enumerated boards containing As Ts Ah
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Jc Jh 872 88.08 115 11.62 3 0.30 0.882
9s 9d 115 11.62 872 88.08 3 0.30 0.118

On the turn:
Jc Jh 34 77.27 10 22.73 0 0.00 0.773
9s 9d 10 22.73 34 77.27 0 0.00 0.227

Then the hoover vac starts up and the suckout hits.

That just looks like a lot of bad poker being played and you got lucky to win the hand :2 cents:
