Arizona Car Insurance Question
In ohio, if you let someone else drive your car.. and they wreck it.. You the owner of the car, is responsible for paying all damages, if you have insurance, they only cover whoever is listed on the insurance.. if not, its up to you. The owner of the car, not the driver if you let someone borrow it.
So.. to clarify, in Arizona you let someone borrow your car, in this case its not insured, and they wreck your car into someone elses. Who would be responsible for paying, you as the owner of the car? Or the person you let drive your car? |

All I know is I let my ex use my truck, she wasn't on the policy. She ended up getting hit by a drunk driver and it totaled my truck. My insurance gave me a check for the value of the truck.

I believe if you let someone drive your car thats uninsured, thats your first mistake, however I think the person he/she hit with your car would be fucked. We have a lot of mexicans without insurance drive out here and there is nothing the cops can do about it when they hit someone. My buddy got into a $2000 fender bender and the fucker A.) was an illegal. B.) Obviously didnt have insurance nor a license. My buddy grabbed his ankles on that one! With NO lube!
Now if it was insured and you let someone drive it, then they are covered by your insurance (99% possitive). I have State Farm Insurance |

Your insurance is on the car, then on the person within the car(s). From AZ to Ohio.. People damages are covered under extra insurance.
If they have car insurance the insurance they have should cover wrecks in your car. If the person driving doesn't have insurance then yours will cover the damages to your car. (Insurance is on a car, not a person, unless the person is under 18) Insurance companies like to make up rules as they go along. Best to get an Attorney to help with any problems that come up with car insurance companies. |

If you own the car, even if it sits under a tree, you are responsible for having at least liability insurance on the car. |
Best to tell the police the driver stole your car than to admit you had no insurance on it and let them drive it :( Personally, this would be "talking to an attorney" time if I were in the same situation.
