40 pounds over weight and to lazy to do anything!
have any of you had this problem? and how did you fix it? or start loseing any weight?

I am about 20 pounds over weight. I plan to lose some this year, just don't know which approch I am gonna take yet

umm get off the computer and do something outside. Motivate yourself, you will come back and feel better and actually prolly get more productive work done.

I (almost) have it... started my diet yesterday

1 ripfuel in the morning and start eating healthier plus a 30 min walk everyday. I lost about 20 pounds in a month. :thumbsup

you know what's funny? I started skating again. They built some killer parks here in Arizona, none of which were here when I was young. It's fun all over again! And that shit gets me winded too.

Any walking you need to get your body moving again and you will increase speed at your own pace then move up to jogging then running. Food stay away from candy, soda, junk food in general also increase your protein intake and decrease your carbs. Good luck :thumbsup |
be careful when working out though. i worked out 5 days a week for nearly 3 months & GAINED 20 lbs (and im a female, so thats alot for me :( ) i gained way too much muscle. i didnt let my body rest in between workouts so i ended up gaining.
but i am alot healthier though. i eat alot of organic foods, i quit smoking, i dont eat fast food or drink soda, and im only online for about 4 hours a day (instead of 12 hours a day) and i'm also drinking alot of green tea. |
oh and by the way there will ALWAYS be beer with in my Diet so we have to work around that to.

you can't take the 'lazy' approach to getting in shape, that's just dumb. |
If you are lazy, here is what I recommend:
1) Start replacing bad foods with healthy ones 2) Drink lots more water and give up all soft drinks or similar (so only dirnk your beer or water) 3) Eat more fruits Just that alone, without having to follow any kind of diet or exercising, will start losing you some weight. |
Bet someone, if your competitive and the bet is serious enough... you'll bust your ass

If you are too lazy to do anything, then just accept your fat ass, buy a real comfy recliner, and maybe Oprah or someone can rescue you from your house in a few years. :D

If you're unable to motivate yourself, join a recreational activity with other people. There's always groups that get together to jog, 100s of forms of karate, swim classes, and lots of other things that don't require you to be in shape to get into. Local gyms usually have a ton of programs going on throughout the week you could check into as well.
Once you start getting into shape you might start gaining confidence to do things daily on your own, if not, no big deal just stick with a good program. The important thing is that you have to remember you have to start somewhere, so don't be ashamed to join something and be out of shape. |

Seriously, buy a treadmill. Get on it every day for 40+ mins, and eat smart. No fried or red meat, and you will lose weight. I followed this for a while and the pounds melted off. Then I got married and lazy.
