When adjusted for inflation oil is rather cheap.

Gasoline is very cheap in the U.S.

Milk costs more pure gallon than gasoline.

From a contrarian point of view, the longer oil is at elevated prices, the cheaper alternatives become. If this trend persists, you'll see oil superseded as the energy source of choice in developed economies.

pornguy 06-27-2005 06:51 PM

I think that at this rate we will all be driving mini's soon. Which is not such a bad thing,

kektex 06-27-2005 06:55 PM

I pay $0.20 per gallon in Venezuela...
But minimum wage here is around $120/mo...

adonthenet 06-27-2005 07:17 PM

Not for long, besides people drink maybe 2 gallons a week. How many gallons of gas do you use?

I just filled up my tank. Didn't look at the cost per gallon, didn't look at the final sale price. THE HIGHER THE GAS GOES THE MORE THE FUCKING IDIOTS WON'T BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO DRIVE!
