is the warranty still valid? :) |
Do not turn it on
Remove the battery Open it then put it on anti-static plastic then use a hair dryer to dry it :thumbsup |
you should have let it closed and lust let it dry. also using a hair blower is not to smart because these things should not get to hard. i had this one time only with beer in my md player and i just let it dry and didn't turn it on for a couple of days and it was all fine. till i dropped it on the ground a year later. lol

Which mp3 player was it?
|
You'll have a real hard time getting anything from an electronics warranty if it's water damage :(
|
why do you need cell phones and mp3 players in the bathroom?
that is holy ground. |
Take it apart and let the board and casing dry out, once dry, put back together and enjoy.
DO NOT attempt to boot it up nor put the battery in it until it's 100% dry. Water conducts, you could damage the controller and/or decoder chip(s). |

I don't have a hair dryer any more. |
I have some experience with this..1 cellphone in a puddle (deep) , one inside the toilet and one overboard from a boat.
The one in the puddle didn`t make it for some reason. The one in the toilet I saved by taking it out (wrapped my hand in 2 plastic bags, the phone was 2 weeks old so I had to save it) and taking out the battery and just letting it dry for 3 days by the window. The one I dropped in the caribbean sea obviously didn`t make it (salt water and electronic stuff dont mix) but I dived for it and for some reason it just kept vibrating non-stop. I have some other fun cell phone stories like the nokia I left on the roof of my car and while in the gas station and dorve off with it.Saw it from my rearview mirror bouncing on the street.I think a car hit it `cos I had to pick up different pieces of the phone around the street.Still I put it back together and it worked for 3 more days and then it died. If you want a free iPod you could help me get one in the process too by clicking here :winkwink: (yes I`m a poor student) |
k good news, its working again ;)))
|
Still working after in water? Damn :)
