I just watched the Al Franken Air America Radio show
 

...on the Sundance Channel. It is the first time that I have seen his show and if this show was representative of the flavor of the show...it is understandable why it is not doing well.

It is also understandable why the conservatives poke fun at it. He...just as Michael Moore does a disservice to liberals. The show stunk...period.

Has anyone else seen it on TV or heard it on the radio?

I agree that his show doesn't have the show biz flair to keep you tuned in for long periods. It's a result of him trying to present his stories with facts and reports to back up the stories, and as a result, it often comes accross a a lecture rather than entertaining talk.

Apparently not much of a following on this board...either.

She is a former truck driver turned liberal talk show host.

I am a big fan of C-Span and C-Span II and probably watch it more than anyother channels. I like political talk. I had never seen or heard the Al Franken show until today...and the show I saw just stunk.

Actually I have just tuned into the Al Franken Radio show. I will give it another chance...as one show or even two is not enough to make a judgement call.

i guess i'm the only one...but i really enjoy the al franken show on air america. i also enjoy randi rhodes and jerry springer. jerry springer does an EXCELLENT job!

I guess its more entertaining listening to O'Reilly rant on about how the voices of Air America should be in jail as traitors.

Responding to controversial comments by Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) regarding the treatment of detainees at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, Fox News host Bill O'Reilly said that Americans "must know the difference between dissent from the Iraq war and the war on terror and undermining it," and that "any American who undermines that war ... is a traitor." He then hurled this accusation at Air America Radio: "So, all those clowns at the liberal radio network, we could incarcerate them immediately. Will you have that done, please? Send over the FBI and just put them in chains, because they, you know, they're undermining everything and they don't care."

Randi Rhodes and others are using that clip as promo now.

I can not stand radio shows like that.
