Survellance / camera system ?
 

I want to stick a camera out the front of my house so I can see whos at the door over the LAN and also to record if anyone tries to break into my house

is there some small camera I can point out the window and software that will detect motion and start recording and some way to output onto the LAN ? I have a spare box I can setup as a camera server if needed
