Do you HAVE to have a window to have an air conditioner in a room?

I have a room with no window that I need to cool. Its in the middle of the house.
Is it possible to still somehow cool this room?
Do they have air conditioners that dont require windows?

No. They make them that you can put on a wall or even on the floor.

Yes..it's all about fresh air..might be smog or exhaust fumes but you need a fresh air source

tony286 06-26-2005 10:03 PM

yep but you have to vent it out of the room

Civilized people (like me) have central air conditioning...a big ass unit on a cement pad outside the house, and then ducts and vents that keep the indoors the perfect temp inside throughout the house.

Self-Evaporating Technology - during the cooling or heating process, water is extracted from the air into the unit. Most of this water is then recycled and used to cool the cooling coils and make it run more efficiently, cooling as well as energy.

You just have to read a little deeper :winkwink:

Take a look at the local marine store. you may find some interesting things.

dready 06-26-2005 10:34 PM

You need at least a hole in the wall.

Big Red Machine 06-26-2005 10:52 PM

You should put a window on your room I suggest.

Pornwolf 06-27-2005 08:51 PM

Indoor units work well. Loud, but well.

Gadzooks! I just went throught this shit last year. AC companies have more bullshit for your buck than a porn site.

You would figure that if we can clone things and spell "Pussy" with molecules that some brainiac mo fo would come up with a mini portable air conditioner or something.

I swear, the things they won't cure are baldness, fat ass, shortness, dick size, and teeth falling out and mini air conditioning.

Go figure
