How to take screenshots in windows media player?

I shot a video of tha family this weekend and want to take a screenshot while the video is playing (in Windows Media), but everytime I do it it shows up as the media player with a black image.

Any tips?

tURN YOUR VIDEO ACCELERATION OFF.
In the media player.
Options: video acceleration.

Turn it off;)

Then hit print screen then open photoshop

CTRL=N
CTRL+V

open it with virtualdub
press print screen at the frame you want and paste it to photoshop or paint

Put the video on pause, ctrl + print screen, paste in to Paint Shop, close the pics with the black screen, go back to your video and repeat the step. The second time you paste the image it should show up. I don't know why it does it that way, but it works for me. :thumbsup

A better way of doing it is to just turn overlay off, that way your performance isn't hit that bad
