I had to delete all my fucking freesites and galleries. I paid to have some of them done. The ones I didn't pay for took me countless fucking hours to build .

All my AVS sites gone!

All traffic from galleries Gone!

Traffic from popular LL and back links Gone!

Over 1 years worth of hard work Gone!

I deleted practically my entire images folder. All this was done because of the new 2257 regs several days ago and it just hit me!

I'm so damn pissed I don't know what to do! Anyone else in similar situation and feeling like me?

Im trying to think how it could work but could you have maybe taken a partner in a non-US country to become the "name" behind the domains? Im just tossing around a few ideas here so dont flame me just yet :)

I dont know as yet as its just the inkling of an idea, but Im sure that it could be done if you crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's too make it above board. Hell, maybe even a Rick Latona type could set up a company offshore specifically for this kind of thing?

Easy shit Peace! Just work with any stable webmaster/s operating outside US jurisdiction and preferably in an offshore scenario.

They don't even have to be a partner, - especially if they are not contributing much but just being a "prescence" who blanks all inquiries with two words :-)

i deleted 9 years of free sites, galleries, avs sites and so on.

i'm trying to be philosophical instead of wasting my energy on being pissed. i tried to get ready for the changes in 2257, but i wasn't quite fast enough. as of today, i have 3 avs sites that are 100% non sexually explicit, and i'm shooting non explicit content for an up and coming paysite. two of the avs sites need some tweaking, but they'll get there.

there are LOTS of things we aren't in control of in life. if we learn to plan and to adapt, we survive and even thrive.

Hell a year ago I didn't even know how to build a freesite let alone knowing about existing or up and coming changes in 2257. I probably could have done something to save some of my work, but I work from home and I don't want the feds to come-a-knocking on my front door.

I will be surprised if you say you loved 2257..

You do realize that joining the FSC doesn't mean you still don't have to be compliant as of June 23, 2005 don't you? So even if he joined he'd still be in violation of 2257 and all that means is the feds would have to wait 10 week to nail his ass.

Deleting files and pages due to 2257 sounds like business madness to me if those pages were still earning you money.

I have all mine redirecting to a text link page. I'm actually making more sales - not giving away free porn ain't such a bad idea :winkwink:
