Best way to hide it is to no longer have it.

When the DOJ knocks on your door, just smile at them and say "I'm just a sexy girl"

|
Move to Mexico
|
Marry a Canadian
|
Why hide?
Do you think you're doing something wrong? Are you not willing to fight? |
I am in Mexico, and It wont really help that much. Mainly because of you have your office in the US , and dont have the papers, you are going to jail.
|
Or you can host in 20 other offshore locations
|
If you're US, you need to be compliant. Moving offshore won't help you unless you actually physically leave and naturalise in another country.
|
You don't want to denounce your citizenship. That is a bad, bad, bad move.
You don't have to do that in order to not live here. Just not being in the US will probably be enough. They will not come and inspect you. That's not reality, regardless of what the arm chair lawyers at GFY will tell you. Go speak with an attorney who specializes in international law and let him set you straight. NOT a free speech attorney, but someone who does nothing but international law. It will be the best money you will ever spend and you will stop worrying about 2257. Most in this industry can not see past what they don't understand and ONLY rely on free speech attorneys to tell them what is going to happen on an international level. Would you ask a tax attorney how to deal with a free speech issue or to help you with a divorce? No you would not. You would go to a specialist... the tax attorney. Do the same with international law. If your going to denounce your citizenship to get out of paying taxes, the IRS can still tax you for up to 10 years if they think you are denouncing to avoid taxes. Uncle Sam owns you. There is no escape from taxes... you can only reduce your tax burden. There are a number of ways to do this and in the end you can pay close to nothing, but you will again need the help of a specialist to do this. DO NOT try to do this on your own. |

Of course that's one of the reasons people leave their home country. Looks like the IRS just want to extend that departure and have claims. Somehow I don't think that comes near the word "freedom" tho may be part of these "values" :-) No other country (apart from 4 weirdo or terrorist states) treat their citizens/wanna-be-ex-citizens this way. As an aside.. and yes, - there is complaining about "immigrants" to the US, but there is also a degree of encouragement to move to the US simply because of tax revenue. In a lifetime/part-lifetime, the govt appreciate a lump of taxes :-) The more new tax-paying citizens the better! |

George Carlin has a great skit where he says the only real freedom we have today is if we want paper or plastic. :1orglaugh |

To add....
I don't understand why they continue to tax us if we work and live abroad. We don't use anything in the country. Nothing. So why should would pay for anything in it? It's a load of shit if you ask me. The best thing to do is get as slick as you can with it without breaking the law and lower your tax burden as much as you can. There is a reason the USA's wealthiest people use offshore methods, corporations and banking. You can be very creative with it and still be legal. |
If your money is made abroad, then don't claim it!
Put it in an offshore bank and the US will never know about it. Get new accounts with all the sponsors, this time under your abroad address, that way you don't need to put a social sec. number |

I remember one US guy who ended up living in South Africa for decades. Some of his best friends worked at the US Embassy in SA and they chatted regularly. One day they decided to take the new members of the family to meet the remaining one's and flew back to the US for a vacation. The moment the plane landed this old guy was arrested and thrown in jail re "tax evasion". Turns out his "friends" in the Embassy pre-warned of his US visit and the flight details :-) Real nice to have friends like that!!! :-) |
The best way is to legally reduce your taxes. Anything else is not worth the risk. Jail is full of lazy people
