I tried to work at McDonalds when I was 16, I went to the training/safety day. Then the first day I was supposed to be there at 5am, I decided to sleep in. I guess telling them I wasn't a morning person didn't mean much. But not showing up to work did :upsidedow

Damn, I worked at McD's when I was 15, but 5 AM would have been out of the question.

I worked there during their hey-day. While an employee they introduced the Big Mac, apple pies, and the filet-o-fish sandwich.

They also went from using fresh potatoes for their french fries, to using boxed, frozen fries. I am sure it saved them money, but the quality on the fries dropped significantly. Back then McD's was known for 2 things: the best french fries around, and the ability to get a burger, fries and a Coke for under $1.00
