Euro DNS needs someone with a brain to type their emails

Dear Customer,

EuroDNS is happy to announce that as of today we are an officially accredited .eu Registrar, and our .EU Registration system is now ready to accept your applications.

Even though actual registrations will not be submitted to Eurid until the last quarter of 2005 (November) for Sunrise and in early 2006 for open registrations, applications start now. Bearing in mind that the First Come First Served rule also applies for the Sunrise period, your application and payment will establishing the sequence in which we will be submitting your application.

Our records show that on you have indicated your wish to apply for one or more .EU Domains as soon as the .eu Registration process begins. These domains are recorded in your personal area of the EuroDNS website. Please login to your account area http://www.eurodns.com/sign_in.php to review this list.

If you confirm your application and make your associated payment within 30 days of the date of this e-mail, we will retain the date priority of your original pre-registration. You can also submit post-Sunrise applications now and retain your priority in our system. Otherwise the priority date in our application sequence will be based on the time when both your application and the associated payment have been received.

In order to proceed with your application, log into your EuroDNS account. You will see the list of EU Domains you have already requested, and the date when your pre-application was received by us. You can then select those names you wish to apply for during either of the Sunrise periods or later - and the category of the prior rights under which you will be applying trademark, company name, etc. Make sure that you meet the criteria of a European link, and are likely to qualify for the appropriate Sunrise period that you have selected. Note that supporting documents are not required now, but will be needed when the actual submission is made to the EU Registry later this year, or early next.

All applications will cost 18 for the first years registration.

Pricing for the Sunrise period was recently published by the EU Registry, and EuroDNS has decided to pass the Registrys prices on to our clients with a minimum markup. This will ensure we not only offer the best service to our clients, but also do so at the lowest possible price. Our Sunrise application prices, excluding the first years registration fee are set by the Registry at :
Those claiming public body status 50 Euros
Holder of registered trademarks 60 Euros (*)
Holder of other prior rights 100 Euros (*)
(*) where validation does not take place due to an earlier application for the same name being successful, part of these Sunrise Application fees may be returned by the Registry.

When reviewing the EU Domain names you have selected, you will see the charge per domain name, as well as the total amount due. Details of payment options are also be given.

By submitting your application and payment now, you will establish your priority sequence in which we will be submitting applications to the Registry when the appropriate registration period opens. For further information go to http://www.eurodns.com/preregister/eusunrise.php, or e-mail mailto:[email protected].

We look forward to serving you in this important development.

Regards,

EuroDNS Management Team

Ok, so they "may" refund money if they don't get my domains? WTF?

Well, I am gonna risk a handful of pre-reg domains. I am #1 for some major tourist areas and other one word- domains.

But after reading this half-baked explanation from them I am going to forget about the bulk of domains for which I am listed as #1.
