This is what we did before the internet was around

Rubiks cube

For you youngsters. It was a puzzle in the form of a cube that drove people crazy. Some people could solve it in a minute and others could only solve it by peeling of the stickers. I was one of the one that needed to peel stickers....
:Oh crap

Manowar 06-25-2005 01:59 PM

I still have one, somewhere

sickkittens 06-25-2005 02:01 PM

Why do you speak in the past tense? It's still around and alot of young people still use it.

ProjectNaked 06-25-2005 02:01 PM

:thefinger under a minute every time :winkwink:

Roald 06-25-2005 02:02 PM

Haha I needed to peel the stickers too. I've seen some clips of people fixing that damn thing within minutes of time

pornguy 06-25-2005 02:18 PM

I had one, and it tool me about 60 days to solve. But I did it on my own.

Code_Havoc 06-25-2005 02:20 PM

The world record on that thing was supposedly solved in like 17 seconds or some thing like that. I don't believe it but that's what I read some where. :disgust

NoCarrier 06-25-2005 02:22 PM

Speaking of nostalgia, pre-Internet: I visited a billiard/games store in New Orleans selling original PacMan video games (the arcade version), also Galaga, Space Invaders and the sit-down/head2head version of Ms.PacMan. Talk about a walk down memory lane!

Scootermuze 06-25-2005 05:22 PM

Well.. other than the local bbs's.. AOL was around before the net.... but cost an arm & a leg if ya didn't watch the clock... But the cube did have the ability to occupy quite a bit of time... :)
