So a buyer threatens me with legal action

About once every six months I come across a newbie that is a total asshat, has no clue what he is doing and blames all his problems on me. This guy wins the award for 2005 so far......

2005-06-25 08:16:58 hotteenthongs->Choker Your traffic is very poor quality. In compliance with UCC 2207 you are hereby notified to rectify the situation or return the money to my credit card. Failure to comply will result in legal action...

2005-06-25 12:43:42 Choker->hotteenthongs I can refund what is left on your account, NOT what you already got. It is not my fault you ordered no cookie traffic. You will not recieve a refund of what you already recieved from me. to say you are not satisfied with the quality of no cookie is pretty absurd considering you have no way to track it's productivity on your site. That's like ordering a ppv movie on your cable then refusing to pay for it because it was not as good as you thought it would be. That is fraud on YOUR part. I do not appreciate being threatened with legal action. Now in compliance with UCC 2207 why don't you tell me exactly how you would like me to rectify the "situation"?..

2005-06-25 14:24:54 hotteenthongs->Choker I payed for 2000 hits from assisass.com, i recieved 58 unique visitors, of which 13 let the page load. This is not as described on your webpage. I would accept a refund for all remaining traffic owned, and all balance funds, as well as 50% refund of the assisass traffic that i payed for and did not recieve...

2005-06-25 14:50:37 Choker->hotteenthongs actually you recieved 902 hits from assiss. I see you are tracking traffic from clickz? you ordered and recieved 1000 hits of no cookie , guess you did not know that clickz does not track no cookie traffic did ya? I went ahead and refunded all of your payment, I do not have time to deal with someone who blames their incompetance on others. http://chokertraffic.com/public/tabs.php?t=5 seems that assis has many buyers and they all give him high ratings, think it is a little funny how ONLY you have problems with his traffic? Here's a little advice for you....Next time you have a problem with ANYONE try being nice instead of threatening legal action first. Especially considering that you have no clue what you are doing. I hope you enjoy your career in the fast food industry...

I have ALWAYS offered a no questions money back guarantee on unused funds. I even allow buyers to try even less than a 1000 hits . If it does no good for them they can get the remaining balance back. I never ever STICK someone with a product they do not want. But to threaten me like this jsut boils my blood

Mr.Fiction 06-25-2005 12:54 PM

It didn't covert at 1:50, I'm charging back!

Thing is if he had been nice I would have credited him all the money he had used for traffic so far and then helped him get a real counter on his site and advised him what niches would work with his site. I do not always have the time over icq to go into detail with buyers, but when they message me thru ctts I take as much time as is needed to help guys out.

Manowar 06-25-2005 12:59 PM

gotta love noobs

Ice 06-25-2005 01:01 PM

So are you gonna refund Sleazy's money or what? :winkwink:

V_RocKs 06-25-2005 01:02 PM

That is funny...

#1 No cookie traffic is untrackable.
#2 He ordered hits from a MGP to his shitty TGP????

WTF???? Why would someone order hits from an MGP to their TGP?

What a fucking ASSHAT!

I have used assisass's traffic for an MGP and can say that it converts and bookmarks if you have a quality site you are feeding it into.

CLickz? Who the fuck uses them for trading traffic. Only an ASSHAT would.

I promptly cancel trades who signup and use that shitty tracking crap. Otherwise I get people saying, HEY, you aren't sending me back as much as I am sending you.

#1 I am sending them, your shitty software just can't count for shit.
#2 half of your sent surfers are coming in as clickz domain so fuck off and stop using a 3rd party tracking software for a trade script.

I'd have told the fucker to go to hell and learn how to buy traffic.

Tempest 06-25-2005 03:30 PM

xlogger 06-25-2005 03:48 PM

Just pay back his $10 or whatever and bann him for the rest of his life.

demented 06-25-2005 03:58 PM

He sounds like the type of guy who will complain to a sponsor that he didn't get a check, even thought he hasen't reached the min payout in 8 months.

CDSmith 06-25-2005 04:04 PM

He's going to sue over less than ten bucks?

Shit, I will never sue anyone over less than $20 :D

Choker, you should have sued this joker back to the stoneage for harrassment, on the principle of the matter. (that's what AaronM would have done)

:1orglaugh

Alex 06-25-2005 04:46 PM

$8 for traffic. $7 after processing, $5 to the site that brings it.

Refund the bitch his $2

Setting a precident that any whiney little bitch that needs some cash back to go buy his Happy Meal (he loves the free toys obviously) at McDs can threaten and make you refund is not a good idea.. Make him waste some cash on a lawyer and then refund his money...

geeksta 06-25-2005 05:00 PM

sucks. if the idiots would ask for help in getting things set up right the first time.

Shooting_Manic 06-25-2005 05:13 PM

LOLOLOLOL!

People kill me sometimes.

You rock Choker and so does your traffic....

$1.50 for the nocookie traffic and $5.25 for the other, so $6.75 total. His payment was only $25, it is not worth the hassle of calling into MVC to have them do a partial refund, so I just refunded his whole $25. Don't get me wrong, I am not a newbie basher, I do go out of my way to help newbies. But this guy's attitude is just too much.

jimmyf 06-25-2005 05:29 PM

sue over 10 bucks, god dam :helpme

CDSmith 06-25-2005 05:48 PM

Is there a statute of limitations on this kind of dispute in Canada?

Because, I'ma look up and sue the fucker who took my lunch money back in the third grade. Took my .55 cents and I had to go without my beloved chocolate milk that day.

pornguy 06-25-2005 06:09 PM

Hell I was promised that your traffic would convert at BETTER than 1 in 1

I want all your money back!

kernelpanic 06-25-2005 06:14 PM

He's a fucktard, plain and simple.

If you have a problem with another webmaster, sponsor, host, or vendor, you owe it to them to give them the benefit of the doubt and look into the issue constructively

People like that won't last in this business.

Its only untrackable if you track via cookies. Its easy to track by via dynamic query strings.

V_RocKs 06-26-2005 01:53 AM

#31 Fucktards before I learned that you can indeed track no cookie traffic. And here I thought the internet was a magical place.

when I started reading the thread, I figured it would be over a much larger amount. What an idiot wasting time over $25 :2 cents:

Brad Gosse 06-26-2005 06:56 AM

Soooo funny. I always wondered if anyone actually bought that traffic from you or if it was a dead dog. I guess some noobs can't turn away from the low low price.

jacked 06-26-2005 07:02 AM

what an asshat

tony286 06-26-2005 07:21 AM

i always figure if companies who sold traffic, had really good traffic they would use it themselves.

reynold 06-26-2005 10:17 PM
