Will the Yankees please..
Win today and the Red Sox lose. Thank you that will be all.
Baltimore needs to lose too |
GO Yanks! Boston still sux.
|
Time to kick it into high gear.
Go Yankees! |
Yep. Time to get to winning.
|
Ye of little faith. I worked the numbers and there's a 96% chance the Yankees will make the playoffs.
|
Fuck The Yankees
|
Last October choke show
still haunts the Yankees :1orglaugh Let's go Red Sox !!! |
Yanks need to get rid of a few guys fast.
Womack, Quantrill, Stanton, Sierra And they need to get Kotsay and a good starting pitcher fast. |

oh and by the way, Let's go YANKEES |

Sierra has not done anything recently. He has left a ton of guys in scoring position in clutch situations this year. He can't do much.
|
If they grab Kotsay, it will improve the lineup big time.
He is a solid #2 hitter and we won't have to worry about using Womack or Williams in that spot. The 2 of them have not been getting it done. Womack's OBP is horrible, especially for a guy who can steal like crazy. |
Quote:
He is not done, so far this year he isn't getting the playing time he's got the past 2 years. Its hard for anyone to sit around for long streches and not be used. |

I know Bernie has no arm but he still needs to be the centerfielder. Typical Yankees they screw the home grown player. And what really needs to happen is Torre should be fired.

who do you think they will give up? Henn and Duncan? |

Another guy who will benefit come playoff time - if they make it. |
Quote:
I respectfully disagree, especially after they go out and grab a centerfielder (like Kotsay). Then Sierra will play only when Sheffield needs a break or when Giambi is in a slump. |

I'll take that over him batting .200 though. :winkwink: BUt if you think about it, he's not a bad #7 or 8 hitter. I'm telling you, getting Kotsay could changes things drastically. |

Honestly, I can't stand that also. I live in New England as well but have liked the Yanks since I was a kid (early to mid 80's). I would watch them on WPIX all the time even when they sucked. The same is starting to happen w/ the Red Sox (fans everywhere) - it's just the bandwagon effect. It will never change. |

The problem is they got $17M a year tied up in a number 7 or 8 hitter who can't field. |

Boston is on a hot streak

Another 0-fer for Sierra. 4 more runners left on base for him.
|
Congrats to the winner!

Giambi saved the Yanks asses last night. Now just a good series against the Orioles & they could be contenders again.
