I'm starting a paysite and don't feel like coding my own cms, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any good, free/reasonably priced cms' out there? Because I'm just getting started price is a big factor for now. Thanks in advance.

I was look for free up to about $100 for now. All it needs is customizable templates (or even just use line includes). Doesn't even need an admin panel, just read the list of sub-directories in the given directory, and list all the files displaying the corresponding thumbnails in the 'thumbs' directory in every directory. Might just be easier to make my own for now.

whatever you do, research all the companies and their solutions BIG TIME, cause there are a few out there that will upgrade the product to somthing WAY better and not give you the time of day when they do it....they will just take on new clients and make money with them instead of making their previous clients happy and upgrading them

I've been piecing together my own custom Postnuke installation to manage a paysite backend.

I don't know what sort of response I would get, but I have been thinking of making it an actual fork of the Postnuke project...specifically aimed at the adult industry.

Doesn't sound like that bad of an idea for a project. Also, another question, what kind of tracking scripts are out there and what do most of them offer? I ask cause I've been working on my own on and off and was wondering what to add into it.

I'd second that one. Very easy to use and lots of features. When I bought it it came with a copy of strongboxxx for free, not sure if it still does.

But what about trackers (hit trackers). What kind of info do most hit trackers track that you guys use and what's out on the market in this category. Working on my own and needto know what to add it to.

I'd recommend SiteDepth, it has alot of great features, and alot of custom add-ons. Plus I think it's one of the more cheaper ones on the market

I wouldn't go with sitedepth.. They have released their version4 with WAY to many bugs and problems still unsorted.. With every update/patch it gets better, and after the summer the script will pssibly be one of the best, but right now it is not worth it to waste your time on...

I can assure you though that it will do anything you could want it to do and more with the base features. It also is ever improving and is not nor will not be a stale product.
And yes as someone stated above it does come with strongboxxx. Also the price is not 1000.00 as someone said unless you are looking for multi-domains.

I got SiteDepth about a month ago, and I love it. I uploaded 6 months of content for one of my sites, and haveent had to touch it since.
